Restore a backup

If a change breaks your site or you lose data, you can roll the server back to an earlier backup from the panel.

Steps

1. Open your server and go to the Backups section.
2. Find the restore point you want — check its date and time.
3. Start the restore. The server is rolled back to the state captured in that backup.

Important

• Restoring replaces the current server state with the backup. Anything created after that backup was taken is lost, so take a fresh backup first if you might need recent data.
• The server may be briefly unavailable while it restores.

Plan around it

Because a restore is a full rollback, it is safest to take a manual backup right before risky operations. That way your restore point is exactly where you want it.
