Install OpenCart on a VPS

Launch an OpenCart online store on your VPS from the SoftServer panel. The full LEMP stack and OpenCart are installed and configured automatically.

Install steps

1. Open your server and go to Platform Installation.
2. Choose OpenCart.
3. Confirm the install. Nginx, PHP, MariaDB and OpenCart are set up for you.
4. Open the store URL shown in the panel and finish the OpenCart setup wizard.

After install

• Connect your domain under Domains and enable SSL — essential for a store that takes payments.
• Manage the store database and credentials from the Databases section.
• Enable automatic backups to protect orders and catalog data.
• Add extra PHP extensions from PHP management if a theme or extension requires them.

Your store runs on a dedicated VPS, so its performance is not shared with other customers. Scale up the plan any time as traffic grows.
