Create and manage mailboxes
Once email is set up on your domain, you can create mailboxes for each address you need.
Steps
- Open your server and go to the Mail section.
- Make sure email is enabled for your domain.
- Create a mailbox — choose the address (for example
[email protected]) and a password. - Use the mailbox with any email client (Thunderbird, Outlook, Apple Mail) or a webmail app, with the IMAP/SMTP settings shown in the panel.
Managing mailboxes
- Reset a mailbox password any time from the same section.
- Delete mailboxes you no longer need.
- Add as many mailboxes as your server resources allow.
Tip
Use a strong, unique password for each mailbox. Mail accounts are a common target for abuse, and SoftServer's abuse monitoring will flag a mailbox that starts sending spam.
