Improve email deliverability (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
Getting email into the inbox instead of the spam folder depends on three DNS records that prove your server is allowed to send for your domain. SoftServer generates them for you.
The three records
- SPF — lists which servers may send email for your domain.
- DKIM — cryptographically signs your outgoing mail so receivers can verify it was not tampered with.
- DMARC — tells receivers what to do with mail that fails SPF or DKIM, and where to send reports.
Steps
- Open the Mail section and start or review the mail setup.
- The panel shows the exact SPF, DKIM and DMARC records for your domain.
- Add them at your DNS provider.
- Use the panel's verify DNS action to confirm each record is correct.
Reverse DNS
Set up reverse DNS (PTR) too — many providers check that the sending IP resolves back to your mail hostname. Request it from the panel.
Correct records make the difference between reliable delivery and messages that never arrive.
